WHAT HAPPENS IF I MOVE?
If you decide to move, rest assured that the ownership of our solar panels is transferable, ensuring a seamless transition for you and the new homeowner. If you own the system, you can transfer both ownership and any outstanding payments to the new resident, allowing them to continue enjoying the benefits of clean energy. For those leasing the system, the transfer process is equally straightforward – the lease can be seamlessly transferred to the new homeowner, providing them with the opportunity to embrace the advantages of solar energy hassle-free.
WHAT IS THE WARRANTY?
Our commitment to your peace of mind includes not one, but two robust 25-year warranties. The first covers the solar system itself, ensuring its optimal performance and functionality. The second warranty extends to the roof or the area where our panels are installed, providing comprehensive protection. With this dual warranty package, you can trust in the durability and longevity of our solar solutions, backed by our dedication to your satisfaction.
DO I NEED TO DO ANYTHING WITH INSURANCE?
Ensuring a smooth transition to solar, we recommend communicating with your current homeowners' insurance before installation to secure the necessary protections. Generally, homeowners' insurance covers 'acts of nature' for the entire system. For systems exceeding 11.7 kW, utility companies may require additional insurance. Rest assured, our dedicated energy consultants guide you through this process, often covering the costs associated with any required additional insurance. Your peace of mind is our priority throughout your solar journey.
HOW LONG DO THE PANELS LAST?
Solar panels are designed to be durable and long-lasting, with an average lifespan ranging from 25 to 30 years. The longevity of solar panels can be influenced by various factors such as the quality of materials, manufacturing standards, and environmental conditions. It's common for solar panels to still operate at around 80% of their original efficiency after 25 years. Regular maintenance and proper care can contribute to extending the lifespan of solar panels, making them a reliable and sustainable investment for homeowners and businesses alike.
WHAT HAPPENS IF I NEED TO RE-ROOF?
If you need to re-roof, rest assured that we have a seamless process in place. We'll come out, carefully remove the solar panels, allowing your chosen roofer to replace the roof. After the roofing is complete, we return to reinstall the solar system. In many cases, the costs associated with this process are covered by insurance, providing a smooth and worry-free experience for homeowners undergoing roof replacements.
